From Spain, is our intern Carmen Rengifo Renedo. This was her first time away from her family abroad as an intern. It was a pleasure to have Carmen offer a helping hand in our Communications Department. We interviewed her before she left to go back home. Here's what she had to say...
"Having the opportunity to work for an organization that helps vulnerable people who are in need is something I've always wanted to be a part of, at least once in my life. So, working for CUF an, organization that has so much to offer and give to the world was ideal for me and was one the reasons I wanted to intern here."
What she loved
"The atmosphere of the office as well as where it is located. I got to do a little bit of everything, such as: writing, taking pictures, working with different people and I got to learn new things everyday."
The Future
I will be studying Law at university in September. My desire is to be able to help others in the future. Qualifying as a lawyer would mean I can help others to deal with their legal problems, from individuals to even companies. Church Urban Fund has helped me habituate myself to an office schedule and become more responsible. It's powerful how an organisation can help to eradicate those problems across a city, something I will like to do in some years.
