Where else will people go?
Please will you donate to help us support people in need.
Please help equip volunteers, churches and community groups to be there for people in need
We are all facing unprecedented challenges in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rising cost of living. But when shocks like this occur, it is inevitably the most vulnerable in our communities who are hit hardest.
As the cost of living and housing rises, more than 2 million Britons are being forced to skip meals*, 2.5 million can't pay for essential services bills** and there are more than 282,000 people facing homelessness***. And these numbers are only growing every day.
Thanks to the support of people like you, we are equipping volunteers, churches and leaders across England to identify, respond to and speak out about the challenges in their communities. But, we need your support to make sure we can be there for everyone who needs us.
Your donation makes a difference
Your donation helps to fund the work of the Church Urban Fund equipping local churches, faith-based groups and community leaders to identify, respond to and speak out about the most concerning issues where they live. This work is essential all year round and relies on the continued generosity of our supporters.
We work with local partners because we believe that local people are best placed to drive change in their own communities. How we help locally depends on the needs that are present. It could be supporting food pantries, providing training to develop new skills, homelessness responses, and other community-led projects.
We also support listening, learning and research to find improved solutions, campaign for change, and promote the impact of faith-based social action in society.
