Thank you for supporting local communities
We support local leaders who are passionate about helping their neighbours, trying to create a brighter future for everyone. We recognise the vital role churches play in fostering a strong and compassionate community. Together, we can amplify the positive impact we have on the lives of those in need.
But we can't achieve this alone. Your church’s support is vital in ensuring we can continue this support.

Every act of compassion, no matter how small, reflects our humanity and embodies love and care for our community. In a world facing challenges such as homelessness and poverty, the importance of following Jesus' example of compassion and action has never been more critical.
We believe that faith-based communities play a crucial role in fostering compassion and inspiring positive change.
This Harvest we are inspired by the words of Acts 2:46-7:
‘They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people.’
The expression, ‘to break bread together’ can have a number of meanings, which is why CUF is inviting churches to make a donation to our work, either through a collection at a Harvest Sunday service, or by holding a shared lunch or other fundraising activity.
We’ve provided a number of different resources to help you introduce the work of CUF to your congregation, pray for the work we support and engage even the youngest members of your congregation which you can find here.
CUF supports churches, faith groups and communities to build relationships, offer hospitality, overcome differences and love their neighbours.
From providing spaces where people can meet and find friendship, to equipping churches to support refugees or training mentors to support people with experience of homelessness, our work brings people together to build stronger and more loving communities where people receive the support they need and everyone has a part to play.
If you would like a member of our staff to come and talk at a service in your church about the work of CUF and how your donations have and can help our work please call 020 752 5655 or email hello@cuf.org.uk. Please note we are limited on staff availability and areas we cover but if we are unable to visit, you can share the film about CUF which we have provided below.
Other ways your church can help to support CUF
- Hold a fundraising event: Consider hosting a fundraising event at your church, such as a bake sale, talent show, or community dinner to raise awareness and funds for our cause.
- Spread awareness: We would be grateful if you could share our mission and the needs we address with your congregation. This could be done during services, through your newsletter, or on your social media platforms.

Matthew 25:35-36“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
