Buckingham Palace Garden Party

On 20 May, members of our team and their guests attended the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, following an invitation extended by our Royal Patron, His Majesty The King

Representing CUF were Vinyo Aidam, Director of Finance and Governance; Elizabeth Carnelly, Director of Partnerships; Jacqueline Broughton, Trustee; and Paul Marten, Finance Manager.

In recognition of the vital role CUF’s partners play in mobilising people, churches, and whole communities to make a positive difference, two colleagues from Together for Change Coventry and Warwickshire were also invited: Jet Jones, CEO, and Katie Brazier, Programme Manager.

Commenting on the day and what it meant to represent CUF and the communities it serves, Jac Broughton said: “It was such an honour and a lovely opportunity to raise awareness of CUF with those who I met. I was very proud to be a representative of such inspiring work."

This honour reflects CUF’s continued commitment to advocating for and championing grassroots action for social transformation.

The Garden Parties, a longstanding royal tradition, are held annually to acknowledge and celebrate individuals and organisations who have made meaningful contributions to their communities. Typically, three are hosted each year — two at Buckingham Palace and one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland — offering The King and other members of the Royal Family an opportunity to meet those who are making a difference across the country.
