Our Values
The work of CUF will encompass all of our values, as they underpin all that we do. Our work will be developed in collaboration with partners, communities and stakeholders. Our work will be conducted in a compassionate way and seek justice for the people living in our most disadvantaged communities. From our work we will speak prophetically and boldly to overcome injustice. Our work will be underpinned and marked out by our accountability to God, our supporters and those we seek to serve.
Collaboration
We work with a range of churches, charities, faiths, people and partner organisations to reduce all forms of poverty. Our work is designed through listening to and learning from the experience, gifts and stories of people from across our communities. All voices will be heard, we will respect all people, their views and opinions.
Compassion
We will model his love and compassion for all people, coming alongside the communities we serve in support, concern, sorrow, and love wherever we see hurt, injustice, iniquity and human suffering.
Justice
Compelled by an unconditional compassion for all God’s people, we will work relationally to mobilise the gifts and capacities of local people to bring about restorative transformation in communities. We will challenge unjust structures of society through amplifying the voices of those experiencing poverty and advocating for an end to poverty.
Accountability
We will work with integrity and honesty; have a transparent approach to our work and be trustworthy in how we deal with the people we collaborate with. We are accountable to our supporters for our good use of resources. Our programmes and interventions will be based on need and evidence and we will demonstrate the impact of our work.
