# Write your Will for free

Securing your future doesn’t require a complex strategy. Our straightforward service lets you create a simple Will easily and completely free of charge, giving you total peace of mind. As long as you’re over 18, you qualify for this service.

## How it works

 

 

1. 1 Fill in the referral formEnter your details below and choose how you want to receive your pack. We will securely pass your request to the National Free Wills Network.
2. 2 Receive your packYour physical or digital pack will arrive within 7 to 10 working days. It contains everything you need to make the process quick, clear and easy.
3. 3 Choose your solicitorPick your solicitor from the two curated lists of local solicitors and make an appointment. You can choose a firm offering in-person appointments or a completely remote service.
4. 4 Work out your estateBefore your appointment, make sure you have a list of all your assets, the full names and addresses of your executors and beneficiaries, and the registered name, address and charity number of any charities you wish to include.
    
    We’ve produced an [Asset Checklist](https://cuf.org.uk/assets/images/Asset_Checklist_2025.pdf?v=1786446625) to help you organise your assets and personal details before your appointment.
5. 5 We cover the costOnce your simple Will is completed, CUF pays the fee entirely, so you don’t have to. There’s no obligation to leave us a gift, though any support you choose to give will make a lasting difference to our future work.
 
 

 

Please note: this service only covers standard, straightforward (simple) Wills. If your circumstances are more complex, for example if you require trusts, own assets overseas, have significant business interests, or need specialist estate planning advice, your solicitor will discuss any additional work and provide an upfront quote before proceeding.
