The year 2020 was like no other in living memory, dramatically affecting the way churches engage with members and the wider community.

In November last year, CUF collaborated with the Church of England to carry out a national survey of Anglican churches, to understand how churches have responded to the unique challenges generated by the pandemic.

The report Church in Action 2020/2021: A Survey of Churches' Community Responses to the Pandemic reveals that despite significant constraints, churches have demonstrated creativity and resilience, and that 37% of churches are doing more social action now than they were before the pandemic.

We are also organising an online event on Wednesday 26 of May (from 5.00pm to 6.00pm) to analyse how churches have responded to the pandemic, discuss how their approach to mission is changing, and reflect on the implications for churches moving forward.
