The Living Glory Girls and Boys Brigade is a community initiative providing opportunities for young people to be able to discover and develop their potential through music, dance, drama, arts and crafts

We are looking for a number of volunteers to help give these opportunities to young people: Singing Coach, Drama Coach, Keyboardist, Drummer, Arts and Craft Teacher, and Child Care Assistant. If you are able to offer any of these skills, please get in touch.

St Paul's Crossover

St Paul’s Crossover works with unemployed people helping them to become job ready and to access employment. We provide courses in ESOL, numeracy, literacy and employability for children, young people and adults. We also provide employment through our Conference Centre, Children’s Day Nursery, Community Café and other projects.
Types of volunteers needed: 
We have a wide range of opportunities for volunteers from reception, administration, helping clients with IT, supporting our tutors, caretaking, serving in the café and working with children, etc. If you would like to get involved, please contact us.

The Springfield Project

We are a Christian project with a passion for showing God’s Love in our majority-Muslim community. We provide a wide range of services which aim to improve the lives of children and families, accepting people and supporting them through difficulties
Types of volunteers needed: 
We are looking for Christian volunteers for the Springfield Project in order to maintain our rooting in the Christian ethos. Volunteers can work with children and parents in organised activities, and we are always looking for PR and other skills to help us reach more people and develop our work.

St Martin's Youth Centre

St Martin's Youth Centre (SMYC) provides a safe and secure environment where young people can participate in a range of educational, physical and challenging activities. We also run anti-gang and employability workshops and we also provide mentoring and support.
Types of volunteers needed: 
We urgently require volunteers to work alongside the youth workers on a variety of evening projects where a range of skills are needed, for example video production, art & crafts etc. Also volunteers are required to help with our reception and administrative tasks including setting up databases.

Worth Unlimited exists to build hope, unlock potential & realise worth in every young person we work with. Our vision is for local people to be equipped to make a contribution to addressing the needs of marginalised and excluded young people

The main focus of our work is to facilitate youth and community projects centred around our 'hub' building on the Firs & Bromford estate. We need people to support drop-ins, community lunches, youth groups, events & generally get involved in changing young people’s lives.

Bandywood Families Project

Our project runs from St Mark’s Church Centre and Kingsland School: supporting families through a wide range of activities, almost all of which are free of charge. We would like to develop our Youth Work

We aim to give children and young people (aged 0-19) in North Ormesby and the local area a brighter future. We use arts, sports, drama, music, fun and games to support them in achieving their physical, mental, social and spiritual potential.

We need volunteers to join our team offering after school and holiday clubs, trips, residentials and events. You will be helping the children in practical ways but also being a good role model and helping them enjoy the benefits of play. Pioneer Credit Union

Pioneer Credit Union is a not-for-profit co-operative run by volunteers. Anyone living or working in the Middlesbrough authority area can join. Working directly in the heart of local communities we offer ethical saving and low cost loans. This helps to encourage thrift and helps members avoid high interest alternatives such as payday lenders, doorstep lenders, pay weekly stores and loansharks.
Types of volunteers needed: 
Volunteers would greet members, take payments for savings, issue cheques for withdrawals and update passbooks. They would handle other associated paperwork for members joining or making a loan application. Full training and support will be provided.
