Pioneer Credit Union

Pioneer Credit Union is a not-for-profit co-operative run by volunteers. Anyone living or working in the Middlesbrough authority area can join. This helps to encourage thrift and helps members avoid high interest alternatives such as payday lenders, doorstep lenders, pay weekly stores and loansharks.
Types of volunteers needed:
Volunteers would greet members, take payments for savings, issue cheques for withdrawals and update passbooks. They would handle other associated paperwork for members joining or making a loan application. Full training and support will be provided.
